Dave Henderson - Anthem Founder

Dave Henderson is a passionate Vineyard owner and a property developer operating predominantly in the South island of New Zealand. Daves holdings span areas as varied as bars, restaurants, live music venues, and commercial properties.
Daves current focus is on central city revitalisation particularly in Christchurch and he is also working to provide world class environments New Zealand wide. Dave saw the potential for the production of outstanding wines at Anthem but also wanted to deliver a real experience to tourists and Kiwis alike.
Dave ensured that the best vines were planted, that they were resistant to disease and that, for the first time, planting was developed around block location and orientation in the vineyard was carefully planned to maximise the light and heat interception for the plants, and utilise the natural contour and aspect of our gentle slopes and ancient river terraces.

The awards already on the wall mean that Anthem is set to become one of the great, high profile vineyards in New Zealand but the concept for Anthem was to do more than make wine, it was to build something special where outstanding wines were just the beggining.
Dave is focused on the outcomes of the vineyard and has set high standards that have been met by the great team around him.
The next steps are to get the Cellar Door up and running and then work on the Restaurant, Bar and Brewery.
