Anthem strengthens corporate communications capability with two new appointments

Senior corporate communications specialist Conor Roberts and up-and-coming communications professional Alicia Lemmer have been appointed by integrated communications and marketing agency Anthem, strengthening the agency’s leadership and growing consultancy team.

Anthem Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Carolyn Kerr says the appointments reflect increasing client demand for senior strategic counsel alongside development of the next generation of communications talent.

“In his Executive Director role, Conor provides clients deep experience across strategic corporate affairs, reputation, stakeholder and crisis management at a time when organisations are operating under unprecedented scrutiny,” says Kerr. “Conor’s appointment significantly strengthens our senior advisory expertise. At the same time, we are committed to investing in emerging talent, and Alicia joins us as an Account Executive, bringing strong capability shaped through her leadership experience, impressive academic grounding and hands-on campaign work.”

Roberts is a senior corporate affairs and public relations practitioner with extensive experience supporting organisations through complex, high-profile issues. His background includes advising on financial, government relations, investment and M&A communications, as well as leadership and senior roles for in-house communications functions in high-profile organisations including One NZ and NZ Super Fund.

Lemmer recently graduated with a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Communication Studies at AUT and has experience in advocacy, governance, and public sector engagement. She has held senior leadership roles including President of the AUT Student Association and has supported student voice and national-scale campaigns, representing student interests at institutional and national levels.

The appointments further strengthen Anthem’s corporate communications capability and support the agency’s continued growth as demand for strategic, senior-led communications advice continues to increase.
