Spark announces Anthem as its public relations agency partner

After a competitive pitch, Spark has appointed its first exclusive, full-service public relations agency partner in Anthem.

Leela Gantman, Spark Corporate Relations Director, says Anthem’s blend of strategic counsel and creativity and its strong track record of building trusting relationships with its clients made them an ideal choice for Spark.

“We wanted a partner who can move seamlessly between corporate communications, B2B and mass-market campaigns, who can work at pace, who shares our values, and ultimately who we enjoy working with. We’re thrilled to have found the right blend of capability and cultural fit in Anthem, who will complement the great team we have here at Spark.”

Anthem’s Managing Director and Co-founder, Carolyn Kerr, says the Anthem team is thrilled to build on its project work with Spark in 2020 – including the launch of the popular Spark 5G Race Zone in the lead up to the America’s Cup and leveraging Spark’s 5G Starter Fund – through this appointment.

“As a locally-owned, independent business, Anthem is extremely proud to be selected by Spark as its public relations partner. It is extra special for our team to learn that it’s the first time Spark has gone through this process to choose an integrated corporate and consumer PR agency to support its talented in-house team. Having the opportunity to work with one of New Zealand’s leading innovation businesses at such a crucial time for New Zealand’s economic revival is a privilege. We are excited to see what magic we make happen together when we combine our teams’ passion, capability, experience and creativity,” says Kerr.

Anthem will work closely with Spark’s Corporate Relations team to provide strategic counsel and support the business in the areas of consumer, B2B and corporate communications.
