Andrew Melville is a facilitator, storyteller, and strategic communications advisor, who has worked extensively across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors for the past 30 years. His work in facilitation across stakeholder groups and in Te Ao Māori began in the 1990s for the former Waitakere City Council, developing and delivering pioneering strategies to engage local communities in sustainability.

 

In the last decade, Andrew has completed a number of contracts for Iwi, and Māori and Pasifika organisations and projects, including facilitating Iwi engagement for Waka Kotahi NZTA roading projects in Northland, documenting the 25-year Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei co-governance journey with Auckland Council, preparing and delivering an Iwi and Community Engagement Strategy for Auckland Airport’s 30-year vision, and developing mana whenua engagement strategies for Auckland Transport.
