Spark and independent communications and marketing agency Anthem have been recognised with two wins at the 2026 PRINZ Awards, taking home Gold and Bronze awards for their launch of New Zealand’s first purpose-built mobile plan for children.
The PRINZ Awards are one of the New Zealand communications industry’s most respected awards programmes, recognising excellence, continuous improvement and outstanding work by public relations and communications professionals across Aotearoa.
The judges praised the campaign as polished and impactful, with clear strengths across strategy, execution and results, describing it as a fantastic, integrated PR campaign.
Anthem Co-Founder and CEO Carolyn Kerr says the recognition is a proud moment for the agency.
“We are thrilled for Spark and our team that the Spark Kids launch campaign has been honoured with awards across two categories – Marketing Communications and Best Use of Media Relations – which reflects Anthem’s unique integrated communications expertise. We’re grateful to Spark for trusting us with this important work, and to the partners and experts who helped bring it to life.”
The launch of Spark Kids and the campaign helped Spark contribute constructively to the national conversation around digital parenting, earning high-quality coverage across national broadcast, online, radio and parenting media, and reaching millions of New Zealanders.
Cassie Arauzo, Corporate Affairs Lead at Spark New Zealand said, “the Spark Kids Plan was created in response to a real challenge we heard consistently from parents: how to help their kids stay connected without opening the floodgates to the digital world too quickly.
“This work started with listening to parents and bringing it to life was a genuine labour of love for teams right across Spark, alongside Parenting Place and our agency partner Anthem. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the impact of that collective effort recognised.”
The wins follow continued recognition for Anthem’s integrated communications work across corporate affairs, reputation, media relations, marketing communications and purpose-led campaigns.
